Our Story

We met as students at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, playing together in a prize-winning string quartet. One of our first performances together took place at Carnegie Hall in New York, and there have been many more memorable performances since then.

Now based in the South of France, we are still actively performing on the European classical concert scene, and we draw on this rich experience to offer our commercial clients on the Cote d’Azur a premium music service which exceeds the ordinary offerings of standard event ensembles.

William

Immersed in the harmonies of classical music from a young age, William, a cellist, has journeyed across prestigious institutions and orchestral stages, leaving a resounding echo of excellence in his wake.

His pursuit of musical mastery led him first to the Conservatoires of Aix-en-Provence and the 12eme arrondissement of Paris, where he was awarded a Musical Diploma from the State of France with distinction. Following this, William was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where he attained his Bachelor of Music with first class honours, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, also in London, where he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Performance two years later.

Under the tutelage of his eminent mentors at the above institutions, William cultivated a deep understanding of musical expression and technical finesse. His dedication to the cello and its mastery earned him several prestigious awards, including a chamber music scholarship awarded by the Guildhall to the Geminiani Quartet, of which William was the founding cellist, and the First Prizewinners title in the Chamber Music category at the Alexander and Buono International String Competition in New York.

William’s orchestral career consists of a rich tapestry of experiences, from Guest Principal Cellist positions at the National Opera of Bordeaux, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Ulster Orchestra, and the BBC Philharmonic, to European tours with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

In the realm of chamber music, William’s talents were recognised early in his career. William was engaged by the BBC Proms to play the chamber music of Pascal Dusapin in their Proms Plus series of 2011, and following the enormous success of a production of ‘l’Enfant et les Sortileges’ at the 2012 Festival d’Aix en Provence in which he was the solo cellist, William toured France, Morocco and Bahrain with this production to great critical acclaim.

Beyond the grandeur of concert halls and prestigious festivals, William remains deeply committed to community engagement and music education. Whether through intimate chamber music performances, or presentations in an educational setting, William seeks to ignite the spark of passion in aspiring musicians and audiences alike.
